How To Be Sexy at 46
Sexy is not tied to one’s age. You can be sexy at 20, 30, 40 and even at 70! At 46, if you don’t feel sexy, then bring the sexy back! It’s never too late to feel sexy again.
But what is sexy? Different people have different definitions of this word. Sexy can be a lot of things: an hourglass figure, the way you dress, way you move or the way you think. At 46, sexy should be a state of mind that makes you feel good and confident as a woman.
You want to start feeling sexy again at 46? Here’s what you need to do.
Live a healthy lifestyle. You don’t need to be a size zero to feel sexy. But, it is important that you take good care of your body. Eat healthier foods and drink lots of water. As a person ages, she becomes prone to more illnesses and other medical conditions. Her skin begins to lose its’ glow. Stop eating fatty foods or those laden with sugar and salt. Go for fresh fruits and vegetables. Drink milk to keep your bones strong. Add vitamins and minerals to your diet. Exercise regularly. Always try to get enough sleep and keep away from pollutants especially cigarette smoke! A healthy body is a sexy body size zero or otherwise.
Take care of your skin and hair. Clear, soft and smooth skin is sexy. As a person ages, she loses more moisture. Use body and facial soaps that will not dry your skin. Moisturize with your favorite lotion. Stay out of the sun to avoid wrinkles and age spots. Take care of your hair. An occasional hot oil treatment is good not only for your locks but your scalp as well.
Indulge and pamper yourself. If you can afford it, go to the spa and treat yourself every so often. Have a massage, manicure, pedicure and full body treatment. In case you are low on funds, learn self-massage techniques that you can do in the comfort of your home. Do this for yourself and no one else.
Update your wardrobe. You don’t need to buy low-cut dresses or mini-skirts. Just jazz up your wardrobe. Look for styles that flatter your body shape. You may not like certain parts of your body but don’t fret. There are clothing items that can help you conceal your most unflattering parts. Buy clothes that make you feel good. Stay away from clothes that leave nothing to the imagination and make sure to dress you age!
Update your mind. Smart is definitely sexy. Read, read, and read! Take the time to read different types of books. Read the classics. Check out novels of substance. Peruse the newspaper. Engage in other mental activities that will keep your mind sharp.
Love and accept yourself. Each individual is different. Don’t compare yourself to the next person or to a model or actress. You are your own person with your own skills, talents, dreams and goals. Always do the best that you can not only for yourself but for others. Having an inner confidence is what will make you feel sexy.
Feeling sexy is looking sexy. It is a state of mind, not a dress size. Sexy is how you feel inside. It’s about loving yourself, being confident and accepting who you truly are. At 46, it is not difficult to be sexy. In fact, the older you get the wiser you are, the sexier you should feel.
How To Apply a Birth Control Patch so it Stays On
The birth control patch is a contraceptive type that a woman sticks on her skin so she won’t get pregnant. The patch has progestin and estrogen, the hormones that gradually flow into a woman’s body through her skin.
The birth control patch will work for just a week. Wear a patch per week for 3 straight weeks. You don’t need to wear a patch on the fourth week because it’s your monthly period. You can prevent pregnancy because birth control patches are effective, but it won’t protect your from HIV and sexually related diseases. Wear a condom if you have doubts in the health of your sexual partner.
Most people who wears birth control patches complains that the patch gets folded up easily, falls of often, or easily gets unfolded on the skin. You need to wear the birth control patch properly for it to work. Below are tips on how to apply a birth control patch so it stays on.
Select an application spot of your body to stick the birth control patch. You must select a different area for every patch. To optimize the benefits, select a spot that doesn’t sweat and get much friction. Every person’s body differs, but do not wear patches where your jeans may rub. The shoulder or lower back (above your jean line) are effective body spots to stick a birth control patch.
Clean your body spot with an astringent cleaner or an alcohol before sticking the birth control patch. Let the spot dry before sticking the patch so it won’t get unfolded and fall easily.
Apply the birth control patch carefully. The patch must not fold or bend. Hold the patch firmly on your skin for few seconds before you release it so the patch will have a good bond on your skin.

The side effects only last 1-3 months, if they bother you, then ask your physician for an alternative birth control. Don’t stop wearing patches right away without reason because you might get pregnant.
There are warning signs of probable side effects of wearing patches. Some of them are chest pain, dizziness, severe abdominal pain, numbness in legs or arms, eye problems, bad headache, and leg swelling or pain. These warning signs are not severe health problems, but if some of these warnings simultaneously come out, then you need to consult your physician right away.
Consult your physician if you have concerns or questions regarding birth control patch. Avoid sex if you have doubts that your birth control patch isn’t working properly unless you’ll use an alternative method of birth control.
Getting Free Breast Implants
Would you like to enlarge your breasts through the use of breast implants? If so, you’re not alone. Thousands of women either have implants or want to get them. Breast implants are prosthetic breasts that are made for women who either would like to enhance their bust size or who have recently had a mastectomy. These prosthetics are created from a saline filled sack that is made to look and feel like a real breast. A plastic surgeon then implants the prosthesis and closes the incision beneath the breast.
If you cannot afford these pricey implants, there are other ways to pay for them. Many women take out loans for their implants. More savvy women have actually gotten them for free! Here’s how to get your own free breast implants:
Contact plastic surgeons. Occasionally, plastic surgeons may offer free procedures in exchange for the chance to use before-and-after photos and information on their website and in other advertising. If you are comfortable with your body being seen online in this manner, this can be an option for getting free or lower cost breast implants. It can be tricky to find such opportunities, though. Look for surgeons who seem to be new to the area or who are trying to increase their advertising - but stay away from very new plastic surgeons. You don’t want botched breast implants, even if they are free.
Get on television. Reality television has become more popular among consumers, and this can be a great way to get breast implants as well as other plastic surgery. Simply find a network that is slated to air one of these shows and sign up to receive plastic surgery. Many of these networks employ doctors who excel in the plastic surgery field, making this a safe way to get the look that you want.
Be proactive. Create a website that tells all about your journey to get new breast implants. The site should include a picture and biography of yourself as well as why you feel you need to have breast enlargement surgery. On the web page you can ask for donations to get you closer to the surgery date. In order for the site to get visitors you should be creative and provide as much information as possible. While this may be a shot in the dark, it could also get you the help you need.
Are you or your spouse in the military? If so, this surgery could be free of charge to you. Many of the medical services that are offered on base are free of charge to enlisted persons as well as their spouses. And plastic surgery is sometimes included on this list. If you are in this position check with the local doctor on base to see if you can receive this surgery free of charge through the military.
Sign up with an online site to find a benefactor. There are sites, such as myfreeimplants.com, that work to connect women who want a breast augmentation with funding sources. This site brings women, benefactors, and surgeons together to provide this service. These benefactors wish to help women improve their self-esteem and confidence by offering to fund procedures such as breast implants. The women find a benefactor who would like to pay for their procedure and then get in contact with a surgeon to perform the procedure. These sites work similarly to online dating or social networking sites to help you meet people who are willing to fund these procedures.
Here are some tips for using this site to get free breast implants:
Fill out your profile completely. Your profile can include information about you and your reason for wanting cosmetic surgery. You can also attach as many photos of yourself as you want. Many of the sites say that these photos are the most important item of your profile when it comes to finding free funding for your breast implants.
Find a benefactor. Find a benefactor willing to fund your procedure. On these “free implant” sites, a benefactor can choose specifically to fund your procedure based on the information you have provided about yourself. In a way, these websites operate like an online dating site. In fact, on some of the sites you receive actual money credits towards your procedure by chatting with the benefactors who have signed up for the site. For example, on myfreeimplants.com, you receive such credit every time one of their benefactors contacts you to chat. They can also choose to send a donation without talking to you directly.
Many women want breast implants to improve their appearance and self-confidence. If you don’t have the money to pay for augmentation procedures outright, you can get a loan or try to get free breast implants by finding someone willing to pay for the implants or even do the surgery for free.

How To Ease Back Pain in Labor
Changing positions during labor is one thing you can do to relieve pain in your lower back. That pressure is often due to your baby’s position and is called back labor: the back of your baby's head presses against your lower back. In clinical terms, it's called Occiput (head) Posterior (back) or O.P. position. It's not uncommon, nor is it dangerous or an emergency, but it is uncomfortable and labor may progress more slowly. Being upright and in motion will lessen that pressure and help your baby move. And the good new is, once your baby is in a good position, she/he usually stays that way! Here are other effective techniques to help you and your baby.
When you are pregnant:
Sit with your back well-supported. Slouching doesn’t help your baby to get into a good position and it’s generally lousy for you, too.
Walk every day or some other exercise. Be aware of your alignment and posture.
Deal with your back pain during pregnancy. If exercise doesn’t help, work with a pregnancy massage therapist, a physical therapist, chiropractor or acupuncturist. It’s best if they have experience with pregnant women. Insurance may cover this if you get a midwife or doctor’s referral.
Plan your labor support. It’s especially helpful to have someone who is experienced with birth and knows techniques for back labor. If your partner is the only person available, he/she may need assistance (even if you don’t have back labor). A doula (professional labor support) can be a very good investment for you and your partner.
The best remedy is to help the baby change position, and then you should feel some relief. If you feel back pressure during labor:
Get into positions that take pressure off your back. Lying flat on your back is probably the worst position.
Keep walking and swaying your hips.
Keep drinking fluids. You should also continue to snack as long as you feel like it. You need to keep your energy sustained.
Go up and down stairs two at a time. Raise one leg on a chair and lean into it. These wider stances open your pelvis more and can help the baby shift. If it is uncomfortable, don’t do it.
Counter pressure is great. Someone pressing against your lower back can help alot. Having your partner or doula squeeze both hips during a contraction can make a huge difference, too.
Sit on a large physical therapy ball and do pelvic tilts.
Massage your belly, encouraging your baby to move. This definitely can’t hurt and it reminds you of why you are doing this good, hard work.
Sometimes medication helps, sometimes it doesn’t. It’s important to sustain your energy and work actively with your body as much as possible.
If your baby doesn’t change position, she/he can still be born vaginally. Your O.P. baby will emerge with his/her face looking up towards the sky. This is also known as “sunny side up”. That’s a great way to describe your challenging, and yet triumphant, labor and birth.

How To Control Vaginal Discharge
A little bit of discharge from your vagina is normal and healthy. But if you've got more than you usually do, there could be some underlying causes for it. Find out what's causing your excess vaginal discharge and learn ways to control it by reading the suggestions below.
Step 1
Keep track. Vaginal discharge might be a regular part of your body's cycle. You may not be aware, but it may increase depending on how close you are to your menstrual cycle. Make yourself a little chart that tracks when your vaginal discharge is heavy and when it is light. It may not be an infection - it may just be your body's own natural rhythms throughout the month. Keep track before you start to assume that your vaginal discharge is abnormal.
Step 2
Use a pantyliner. Although a pantyliner won't stop your excess vaginal discharge, it will help to control and contain it. You'll feel much fresher and if you swap them out throughout the day, you should feel cleaner. Just ensure that you choose the most natural, unscented pantyliner you can find.
Step 3
Wear breathable underwear. You may be experiencing increased vaginal discharge because your vagina is too moist. This is often caused by wearing clothing that is too tight, which restricts airflow to your private areas and prevents your vagina from "breathing." To avoid this, allow your vagina the space it needs! Wear breathable cotton underwear that is a bit looser than you normally wear. And try to wear skirts or flowing material to allow your vagina to get some air. This will prevent excess moisture in your vagina, which will cause bacterial buildup and more discharge.
Step 4
Don't expose your vagina to scents. If you're noticing an increase in vaginal discharge, it may be because your vagina is affected by too many scents. Perfumes, body washes, sprays and dyes can all irritate your vagina. Even your toilet paper may be the culprit. To prevent and control vaginal discharge, use unscented products on your vagina. Stay away from perfumes or scented deodorants for your vagina. And certainly don't apply body lotions near your vagina, as it can disrupt the natural bacteria growth and lead to increased discharge and infection.
Step 5
Douche only with water. Similar to scented products, douching will also disrupt your normal bacteria inside of your vagina. If you absolutely feel that you must douche, use only warm water. Anything else that you use on your vagina has the potential to cause infections.
Step 6
Ask your doctor if your oral contraceptives could be causing it. Some birth control pills can cause you to have more vaginal discharge. So if you take oral contraceptives, this might be why you're experiencing these symptoms. Talk to your doctor about switching brands to see if the discharge lessens at all.
Step 7
See your doctor if it doesn't clear up. If you are unable to control your vaginal discharge yourself, talk to your doctor. There may be another cause that you weren't aware of. Control and prevent excess vaginal discharge by having a full check-up done by your doctor at least once a year.

How To Calculate Your Ovulation Days Accurately
Not wanting to conceive is one reason why women calculate their ovulation period, thus the rhythm method of natural family planning is always an open option. On the contrary, wanting to have a baby is another reason why some women, especially spiritually-inclined ones or those who practice yoga and self-control, do keep track of their ovulation days. They may not indulge in unnecessary sexual enjoyment all for nothing and, instead engage in the act of bodily union only during the fertility period. Whichever motivation you find yourself under, below are guidelines on how you can calculate your ovulation days accurately and effectively.
Track your menstrual period. The great way to do this is to track the entire year of your menstrual cycle. Sometimes, women have an irregular menstrual cycle. This may either be normal or abnormal (depending on the type of body you have). If, however, you have irregular cycles, you must consult your doctor immediately to find out whether it is normal or not. You will be given directions and prescriptions if it is found to be of abnormal causes and is dangerous. Now, if it is normal, list your cycle on the calendar or on a notebook. List down the exact day and time your menstruation started and the day and time it ended. If you have had your period twice in a month, list it down also.
Know the shortest and longest periods of your entire monthly cycle. Get the starting and ending days of the cycle and count all the days consumed, including the half-days. Then calculate the day you started a menstrual cycle in a month up to the starting day of your next period. Count all days and take note of them beside each month. If you are doing this on a notebook, make sure to write legibly for an accurate calculation.
Find out the beginning of your ovulation period. After you have determined the shortest cycle, deduct 18 days from it. This is the approximate starting day of your ovulation period.
For example: 22 days (shortest cycle days) - 18 days = 4th day (the first day of the ovulation period)
Find out the last day of your ovulation period. Subtract 11 days from the longest menstrual cycle.
For example: 29 days (longest cycle days) - 11 days = 18th day (the last day that you are fertile or prone to being pregnant)
Evaluate your cycle. Take note of all the cycles you have inspected and calculated. Referring to the above examples of the longest and shortest ovulation cycles, you can clearly see the days you are fertile and days when you will not be worrying about getting pregnant.
Know your body's biological changes. Every woman has different changes in the body that are greatly dependent on the menstrual cycle. Ovulation changes depend on your daily activities. When you take in too much alcohol or other intoxicants, suffer from too much stress and fatigue, or constantly travel; the ovulation cycle will most likely be altered.
Knowing your accurate ovulation cycle can either save you from any unplanned pregnancy or award you a long-desired one. Whatever your plans may be, the best of luck! Just make sure that such plans are made and followed within a legitimate and healthy relationship. Illicit sex always harbors undesirable results. Be clean, healthy and safe!

How To Alleviate Sore Nipples
You have been anticipating your baby's birth for the last nine months and you have been dreaming about seeing his sweet little face your entire life. As a girl you practiced motherhood on your doll. You changed her, you fed her and prepared her bottle with extreme diligence. Nothing could have prepared you for the pain and agony of breastfeeding. Sore nipples can make feeding your baby a dreaded nightmare. Some people give up on breastfeeding because they cannot endure the pain of sore nipples. And with baby formula as a safe and healthy alternative, who could blame them? But many women are committed to the process of breastfeeding. It is the natural way, it connects you to your baby in a way that no other can duplicate. Not only does it connect you to your baby, but it connects to your mother and your mother's mother and all of womankind since the dawn of woman. Giving your baby nourishment from your body is beautiful. For those who stick with it, there are ways to alleviate the pain of sore nipples.
Lansinoh is a product that is like chap stick for sore nipples. It comes in a tube and has a consistency of a thick ointment. This helps to sooth cracked and sore nipples and is safe for your baby to ingest.
Sometimes sore nipples make breastfeeding too painful to bear. If you are committed to breastfeeding, you can use a breast pump, feed your breast milk to your baby via the bottle for every other feeding while you continue to do some breastfeeding. This gives your sore nipples a much needed break and a chance to heal.
Consider that your baby may not be latching onto your nipples correctly, which can cause extremely sore nipples. To be sure, you can talk with a lactation consultant, a nurse who specializes in breastfeeding. She will help you and your baby find the right way to breastfeed.
There is also the option of treating sore nipples with over the counter pain medication, such as ibuprofen or acetaminophen. Be sure to check with your doctor to determine what is safe for your baby because much of what you ingest is secreted in your breast milk and passed through to your baby.
Another thing that is helpful is leaving your shirt and bra off to allow your sore nipples the luxury of air exposure. Make sure that you keep your nipples clean so as not to breed infection.
Your baby's infancy is a great treasure that should be cherished. Only a mother appreciates the pains that she endured in child birth, and the sacrifice of breastfeeding. Breastfeeding allows you to continue to share your body with your baby beyond pregnancy. Motherhood is not easy, it is mixed with pain and love, pain and love, and pain and love. Sore nipples is a perfect metaphor for this maternal condition.

How To Balance Breast Size During Breastfeeding
Breastfeeding is the natural and most recommended way to feed a baby. A mother’s milk has been scientifically proven to be much more nutritious than any commercial formula in the market. Unfortunately, not all mothers can breastfeed naturally. These can be due to various factors such as lack of milk production or an inverted nipple. It can be caused by other factors as well. On the other hand, for those fortunate enough to breastfeed, there are certain minute aspects of the whole activity that will have to be dealt with. One aspect is breast size balancing. Breastfeeding too much on one breast may leave the other breast full of milk and oversized than the other one. If this is the case with you and your puppies, then here are some tips on how to balance your breastfeeding so as to balance your breast size.
Increase the size of the smaller breast. It is actually very humorous but as your breasts produce the milk needed by your baby and as you breast feed, the more the baby drains a particular breast, that breast will produce more milk than before. It is just a natural process of things. This being the case, if you notice that your right breast is smaller than your left, then consider having your baby feed on your right breast until he drains it of milk. Do not worry, that breast will start producing more milk and will be able to hold more making it bigger and hopefully, it will grow to the same size as your left breast
Nurse for the appropriate amount of time. Breastfeeding on a particular breast should be done for a specific amount of time. Typically, 20 minutes should be the rule here. The reason you want to do this is because the baby will only be able to get the most nutritious milk, usually the last several drops at the back of the breast. On this note, when you breastfeed, make sure to have your baby focus on a breast for around 20 minutes.
Alternate breasts. Once your breasts are pretty much the same size, start breastfeeding on each breast alternately. For instance, the morning feeding should be 20 minutes on your right breast. For lunch, use the left. Keep alternating and adjusting to the size of your breast. Now, you will need to take into consideration how each breast produces milk. The right breast may produce more milk than the left. Make the adjustments so that the particular breast will not produce above the desired amount.
Use the pump. Sometimes, your baby will be too full to suck the milk out from a larger breast. If this happens, you can consider using a breast pump to lighten the load on that breast. Save the milk and feed it to your baby at a later time.
If you are under producing milk in a particular breast, then you will definitely need to adjust on the other breast in order to reduce its size. In any case, if you are having difficulty with this whole issue, consult your physician to help you get more detailed tips regarding the matter.

How To Avoid Fatigue During Pregnancy
A pregnant woman constantly experiences fatigue during her pregnancy. This is because she is carrying the weight of her baby and she is providing for her baby’s energy needs as well. Here are some methods to avoid fatigue during pregnancy and make pregnancy more bearable.
Get the right amount of nutrition. When you’re pregnant, your calorie needs increases to support the changes in your body as well as your child’s needs. Because of this, if you don’t get enough nutrition, fatigue sets in. Count the number of calories you normally eat and add an extra 200 calories especially during the last three months of your pregnancy. Eat 5 or 6 small meals a day to make sure your baby doesn’t go hungry. Refrain from skipping meals and don’t diet unless your doctor prescribes it.
Eat healthy food. To get the most of your food, eat a balanced diet consisting of proteins, carbohydrates, fats, minerals, vitamins, and fiber. Stay away from processed food and junk food because these have harmful chemicals in them. Avoid eating too much barbecued and burnt food because studies have shown that these cause cancers.
Take your supplements. There are important vitamins and minerals that are needed during pregnancy for the maintenance of the mother’s health and the proper growth and development of the baby. These are iron, folic acid, calcium, magnesium, and essential fatty acids. If you don’t get enough of these from your food, you must take them in the form of supplements. During your check-ups, your doctor gives you a list of supplements to take. Be sure to take these properly so that your body absorbs it better.
Get exercise. Do mild exercises thrice a week to keep your body strong and fit. Exercise helps prepare your body for labor and delivery as well.
Stay away from vices. These are cigarettes, alcohol, and illegal drugs, which cause harm to your health and interfere with your baby’s development. These substances deplete your body’s energy and cause fatigue during pregnancy.
Get plenty of rest. Because of the nutritional demands and the weight of the baby, you feel fatigue whenever you are pregnant. To get your strength back, take a rest every now and then. Listen to what your body is saying. Don’t strain yourself too much. Relax and let your body recuperate to support your health and the baby’s health.
Stay in a pleasant environment. Avoid places where there is too much pollution and stress-inducing situations. Instead, go to a place with clean air, healthy food and nice surroundings. You need energy during pregnancy; conserve it by avoiding things and people that drain your strength.
Get a check-up. Going to check-ups during pregnancy is important to make sure you and your baby are ok. During check-ups, your doctor examines the development of your baby and your health. Sicknesses and unusual conditions may be a cause of your fatigue and the doctor provides remedies for them.
Get support. Simplify and delegate hard tasks. If you find yourself in a challenging situation, surround yourself with supportive people. Pregnancy is a challenge in itself; don’t stress yourself and seek help from others to make things easier for you.
Pregnancy is a delicate condition, so make health be your top priority. Know as much as possible about how to stay healthy during pregnancy to make sure everything turns out fine. Listen to your body so that you notice if there are things that need to be done to lessen your fatigue.
